FEMA 361 Rated Tornado and Hurricane Storm Shelter Doors

A FEMA 361 Rated Tornado Storm Shelter Door is the most critical safety element for any room designed to withstand destructive forces hurricanes and tornadoes can produce. Tornadoes can produce winds in excess of 300mph and the destructive forces associated with flying debris and pressure from these types of storms is devastating. Protecive Structures, Ltd. (PSL) carries the Republic DE Series FEMA 361 Rated storm and tornado resistant doors both for most common commercial applications.

Protective Structures is proud to feature the Windsor Republic DE Series - FEMA 361 rated Tornado Storm Shelter Door. The door and frame assembly are designed to protect occupants when they enter or depart the storm shelter. The DE Series FEMA 361 rated tornado door meets the FEMA 361 guidelines for wind resistance and airborne missile impact. FEMA 361 Doors are available in cold rolled steel or galvanealed (A60) steel. Face sheets are continuously projection welded to hinge and lock channels on 5 inch centers. SDI Level 3 - Physical Performance Level A.

Every FEMA 361 Rated Tornado storm shelter door from Protective Structures has been designed and tested to the highest standards. Our shelter doors meet or exceed all FEMA 361 and FEMA 361 requirements for tornado shelter doors. Do not be fooled by door makers selling "tornado doors" that do not meet these standards.

Protective Structures has tested some of these so called "tornado doors" and the results speak for themselves. Please view our "testing" page to see pictures of a failed non-FEMA storm door. A non-FEMA rated door simply cannot withstand the destructive forces generated by tornadoes, hurricanes and other violent storms.

FEMA 361 Doors are individually packaged and fully plastic wrapped to prevent damage. Contact us for FEMA 361 single door prices. Doors include all hardware.
