Bullet Resistant Package Exchanges

As convenience stores and gas stations stay open later and later, safety measures must be taken to protect the employees from violence. Protective Structures can install a bullet package exchange that allows the employee to pass items of all sizes to the customers on the outside. The bullet resistant package exchange is easy to operate and extends directly to the customer. Visibility is not restricted as the package exchange and window are manufactured with clear bullet resistant material. Keep your employees protected from violence and theft using PSL's bullet resistant package exchange.

When designing bullet resistant package exchange and window, the threat of acrylic-shotricochet is not as much of a concern as it would be in a bank lobby. For this reason, many gas station and conveience stores opt for a more economical solution using bullet resistant acrylic, pictured to the right.

As you can see, acrylic has a very clear finish. However, unlike polycarbonate, the bullet may not be entirely captured and may produce some ricochet or spall. Acrylic is an attractive, economical choice when "threat side" safety is not as much of a concern.
